Japan is set to welcome 33 million travellers in 2024
Japan is captivating travellers worldwide, as it emerges as one of the leading travel destinations this year. In February 2024 alone, Japan welcomed a total of 2,788,000 overseas visitors. Since the country lifted all pandemic travel restrictions in 2022, there has been a huge influx of foreign tourists holidaying to Japan, but this year a record-breaking number of 33 million travellers are set to visit the country. Year-on-year Japan stands as an irresistible destination for foreign tourists, who are not only drawn in by Japan's world-class cuisine, rich history, and unique blend of ancient and modern culture, but also by its value due to the continued weakness of the Yen.
